It only takes a short visit to Spain to learn of key ingredients included in some of the country's most popular dishes. Here are a few of my favorite ones:
- Garlic cloves
- Onions
- Extra virgin olive oil (recommended for salads, dipping, or in other dishes that require small quantities of oil)
- Light olive oil (recommended for cooking)
- White wine (semi-dry)
- Red wine
- Spanish paprika
- Whole bay leaves
- Parsley flakes
- Thyme
- Lemon juice and rinds
